you need new stairs with treads to match the wood floor. you can’t add wood flooring to the existing stairs. the first step would be 3/4 inch higher than the rest
You can get stair caps made from the same hardwood as a wood floor. But, they are very expensive, because they have to be custom made. You’re looking at more than $100 (depending on size and shape) per step and that doesn’t include installation.
